HELLCAT-Powered 1970 Dodge Charger Restomod Up For Auction

There’s something undeniably cool about blending modern Mopar muscle with timeless Dodge styling—and this 1970 Charger does it better than most. Up for grabs on BringATrailer.com until Friday, May 9, at 1:31 p.m. EDT, this head-turning beast isn’t just a restomod—it’s a full-blown SEMA showpiece.

Originally a bare shell, the Charger was completely reimagined after the current seller picked it up in 2023. The transformation was so striking, it debuted at SEMA later that year as a display build for Lexani Performance Tires.

Among the many custom touches: the body was widened a full 5 inches, flared quarter panels were added, and the bumpers and trim were seamlessly painted.

A carbon-fiber roof overlay offers a throwback to the vinyl tops of yesteryear, while a gloss black finish and red accents—including the grille and rear stripes—give it a sinister edge. And yes, the HELLCAT badges are loud and proud.

Under the hood lies a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V8 pulled from a 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT, mated to an 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

The drivetrain, sourced and installed by Cleveland Power & Performance in Ohio, channels all that fury through a custom 8.75-inch rear end with a limited-slip differential.

Performance upgrades continue under the body, where a modernized chassis meets Ridetech air suspension, a triangulated four-link rear setup, a QA1 front sway bar, and Hotchkis subframe connectors.

Massive 14-inch Wilwood brakes handle stopping duty, while 20-inch Strasse forged wheels with carbon-fiber centers—wrapped in ultra-grippy Lionhart tires—complete the aggressive stance.

Inside, the Charger goes full modern muscle with a saddle brown leather and black suede interior stitched in an eye-catching diamond pattern. Power windows, push-button start, and a Uconnect 4C infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth keep things comfortable and connected.

Borrowed directly from a modern HELLCAT, the digital gauge cluster and paddle shifters add a final dose of factory flair. The only thing that’s missing? For this level of performance and style, air conditioning is a small price to pay.

In the trunk, you’ll find a trio of 10-inch Kenwood eXcelon subwoofers, while the air suspension hardware is tucked neatly under a custom AirPod cover. The digital odometer reads 66,000 miles, though the true mileage is unknown. Since the build was completed, it’s seen only about 800 miles of road time.

With the soul of a classic and the guts of a modern-day powerhouse, this HELLCAT-swapped ’70 Charger delivers brute force with show-stopping presence. Whether you’re hunting trophies, tracking time, or just want to make your local Tesla driver nervous, this build delivers.
